“Kikkeriki!!! Welcome to KFP, are you here to order or to apply for a job?”
That's the greeting that introduces Takanashi Kiara on her talent page on the hololive official website. She is a member of -Myth-, a group in hololive English, the branch aimed at English-speaking audiences. In Japanese, her name is written 小鳥遊キアラ. As of September 25, 2026, her YouTube channel had 1.65 million subscribers by our count.
In this profile, we walk through Kiara's official data and backstory, her debut stream and first original song, and finally her first overseas solo concert, in Los Angeles.
When Is Takanashi Kiara's Birthday, and How Tall Is She?
Birthday: July 6
Debut Stream: September 12, 2020
Height: 165 cm
Unit: hololive -Myth-
Illustrator: huke
Fan Name: KFP
All of this comes from the “DATA” section of the talent page on the hololive official website (checked September 25, 2026, on the Japanese page, and October 29, 2026, on the English page linked here). The same section lists her stream tags as “#kfp” and “#キアライブ,” and her fan-art tags as “#artsofashes” and “#絵ニックス.” Having Japanese tags alongside the English ones is probably meant to help Japanese fans find her, too.
Her YouTube channel description, meanwhile, says “Based in Austria & Japan.” In other words, that's how her own channel describes itself: based in Austria and Japan.
One more thing: the official data does not give a birth year, so this site does not calculate her age.
A Phoenix Idol, Not a Chicken
The profile on her official talent page reads: “An idol whose dream is to become the owner of a fast food chain. Kiara is a phoenix, not a chicken or turkey. (Very important)”
It goes on: “She burns brightly, working herself to the bone since she'll just be reborn from her ashes anyway.”
The greeting at the top, “Welcome to KFP, are you here to order…,” has the shape of a shop clerk's stock line, too. The fan name “KFP” and her goal of owning a fast food chain seem to tie together into a single world. That emphatic “(Very important)” may say something about how much she minds being mistaken for a chicken.
Her Debut Stream: September 12, 2020
Takanashi Kiara's debut stream began at 10:01 p.m. JST on September 12, 2020. It was titled “【DEBUT STREAM】 Time to rise. KIKKERIKIII!!” and ran about 1 hour and 13 minutes.
The stream's description introduces her in English as “It's me, part-time warrior/idol, majestic phoenix Takanashi Kiara!” She introduced herself in Japanese too: 「ホロライブEN1期生の戦士アイドル不死鳥 小鳥遊キアラだよ!」 (“It's me, hololive EN first-generation warrior idol phoenix Takanashi Kiara!” translated from the Japanese).
The same description also lists the schedules of the other -Myth- members who debuted with her: Mori Calliope was scheduled for 8 p.m. on September 12, and Ninomae Ina'nis for 4 a.m. on September 13 (both JST). That means Kiara's stream took place right between those two scheduled slots.
Two days later, on September 14, she also posted a short video titled “The Rise of Kiara the Phoenix (Kiara vers.).” According to its description, the same footage was shown during her debut stream “with Calliope Mori's voiceover.” So right from her debut, she was already creating things together with her fellow -Myth- members.
Her First Original Song, “HINOTORI”
About two and a half months after her debut, on November 26, 2020, she released “HINOTORI.” The official video description calls it “Takanashi Kiara's First Original Song.”
According to the credits, Kai Gojo is the producer and composer, Aya Shinno wrote the lyrics, and Takanashi Kiara is the singer. And the video's “Movie Animation” credit lists Mori Calliope. Once again, it's a collaboration with a fellow -Myth- member.
As of September 25, 2026, the video had about 4.89 million views.
Her Most-Viewed Video: “DO U”
The most-viewed video still up on her channel is the music video for “DO U,” released September 19, 2022.
As of September 25, 2026, it had about 11.46 million views, ahead of the runner-up, a cover song with Ninomae Ina'nis, at about 10.33 million.
The “DO U” description lists the music videos she had released up to then, newest first: “Fever Night,” “SPARKS,” “Heart Challenger,” and “HINOTORI.” Within about two years of her first song, she had steadily built up a run of music videos for songs released under her own name.
Recent Songs That Credit Her for Outfit Design
The descriptions of the “PERFUME” and “TASTY” music videos, both released in 2025, contain an interesting detail in the credits. For “PERFUME,” the pink outfit is credited “Design by Kiara”; for “TASTY,” the credit reads “Outfit design: Kiara.” In both, her name appears in the outfit-design credit.
That said, the same credits list other people for modeling and rendering the outfits. That she was involved at the design stage—that much is what the credits tell us.
On March 31, 2026, the music video for “Blue & Gold” was released as well. Its description reads “Takanashi Kiara 2nd Album『Vogelfrei』,” presenting it as a track from her second album.
The music section of the official website lists Vogelfrei along with “TASTY,” “PERFUME,” “MIRAGE,” and more, as well as the musical Fantasia of Bremen.
Her First Overseas Solo Concert, in Los Angeles
On November 24, 2025, COVER Corporation announced a concert by Takanashi Kiara and Ninomae Ina'nis in a press release on PR TIMES (in Japanese). The concert was titled Takanashi Kiara / Ninomae Ina'nis 1st Concert “Drawn to Dawn”.
It took place at The Wiltern in Los Angeles over two days, March 27 and 28, 2026, local time. According to the release, the format was a show in which each of them held a solo concert at the same event (translated from the Japanese press release).
The concert did go ahead, and part of Day 1 was streamed on Kiara's channel as a free preview.
According to the official event report on the hololive official website, 20 songs were performed each day, including the encore. The same report says this was the first overseas concert for either of them as solo performers, and that tickets for the venue sold out almost instantly.
The part worth a closer look is the first song of Day 1. The report lists “M1: HINOTORI” and says Kiara took the stage in an orange outfit with two backup dancers. In other words, she opened her first overseas solo concert with her first original song, released about two and a half months after her debut.
According to the report, in the “PERFUME & TASTY Medley” that followed, the number of dancers increased to four, and on Day 2 she also performed her newly released track “EGO.” For the encore, the two performed “Breaking Dimensions,” a hololive English group song, the report says.
A Collaboration with a Japanese Manufacturer, Too
Kiara has also appeared in collaboration products with Japanese companies. On August 16, 2024, the Japanese company プレシードジャパン announced preorders for collaboration earphones featuring the five members of -Myth- (in Japanese).
According to the release, AVIOT is the company's own brand, launched in 2018, and it promotes its sound as carrying the quality of a “Japanese manufacturer” (translated from the Japanese press release).
The release's title lists all five names: Mori Calliope, Takanashi Kiara, Ninomae Ina'nis, Gawr Gura, and Watson Amelia. For fans who have followed Myth since the beginning, seeing the original five come together in a single product was probably a welcome treat.
Wrapping Up
As we've seen, Takanashi Kiara is a VTuber who debuted on September 12, 2020, as a member of hololive English -Myth-. Her official backstory is “an idol whose dream is to become the owner of a fast food chain,” and her profile makes a point of insisting she is a phoenix, not a chicken. About two and a half months after her debut, she released her first original song, “HINOTORI,” and in March 2026 she opened her first overseas solo concert, in Los Angeles, with that very song.
As of September 25, 2026, she had 1.65 million subscribers, and she had been live with a gaming stream from the night before into the early hours of that day (JST).
What stage will this phoenix idol, who rises from the ashes again and again, take next? We look forward to seeing what she does from here.
