“Huh? But it was funny! Don't get mad at me!”
That is Gigi Murin's catchphrase, as it appears on her talent page on the official hololive website. Gigi Murin belongs to -Justice- in hololive English; in Japanese, her name is written ジジ・ムリン. As of September 26, 2026, by our own count, her YouTube channel had 607,000 subscribers.
In this article, we go through her official profile and her "mischievous gremlin" setting, then follow her in date order: from "Hitomania" (人マニア) on her debut day, through her covers of Japanese songs and her 3D Showcase, to her solo original songs.
Gigi Murin's Birthday and Height: The Official Data
Birthday: October 18
Debut Stream: June 22, 2024
Height: 153 cm
Unit: hololive -Justice-
Illustrator: Makihitsuji
These details come from the "DATA" section of her talent page on the official hololive website (checked October 30, 2026).
According to the description of her debut stream, -Justice- debuted on June 21 and 22, Pacific Daylight Time (PDT). Gigi's slot was 8:45 p.m. PDT on June 21, which is midday on June 22 in Japan (JST). That is probably why the official data gives her debut date as June 22: it is counted in Japan time.
The official news named the four members of -Justice- as Elizabeth Rose Bloodflame, Gigi Murin, Cecilia Immergreen, and Raora Panthera.
Her Official Setting: A "mischievous gremlin"
Her official profile describes Gigi as "a free-spirited Chaser and mischievous gremlin." "While she is proficient in chasing down targets with pure intuition, she struggles with memorizing directions and making calculated decisions."
It also says, "She is often the source of headaches for those around her, causing trouble because she ‘thought it would be funny.’" The "Don't get mad at me!" in the opening catchphrase is probably exactly what that personality would say.
That mischief even shows up in official writing. On April 27, 2026, an official news post announced that Gigi had been appointed a hololive Meet 2026 Ambassador; hololive Meet is hololive production's events project for fans outside Japan. Appointed alongside her were three others: Tsunomaki Watame, Airani Iofifteen, and Rindo Chihaya.
Gigi's comment in that news post raises the alarm about herself: "Who’s letting Gigi Murin on stage with the mic!! Oh no!! Get her down from there!!" Right after that comes "JUST KIDDING." Heckling herself like that: isn't that her official setting to a tee?
Released on Her Debut Day: "Hitomania"
Her debut stream on her YouTube channel began at 12:43 p.m. JST on June 22, 2024. It was titled "【DEBUT】GG STANDS FOR GIGI!" The first line of its description read "ready or not, here i come!!!"
Shortly before that stream ended at 1:26 p.m. JST, "【MV】Hitomania / 人マニア - Gigi Murin (Cover)" premiered at 1:25 p.m.
The credits in its description give the original as a song by Sasuke Haraguchi (原口沙輔), with the vocals listed as "Vocals: Gigi Murin." So the first MV that a talent from hololive's English branch put out on her debut day was a Japanese song.
On October 19 of the same year, a cover MV of "Igaku" (イガク), another Sasuke Haraguchi song, was also released. Both MVs had the same team: Izzy Delore on art and video, and VESEN on the mix. Returning to a Sasuke Haraguchi song with the same creators as on her debut day: perhaps she has a soft spot for his songs.
"Hai Yorokonde": Her Most-Viewed Video as of September 2026
The most-viewed video on her channel is her cover MV of "Hai Yorokonde" (はいよろこんで), released on January 18, 2025. As measured on September 26, 2026, it had about 2.31 million views.
The description gives the original as "はいよろこんで / こっちのけんと" ("Hai Yorokonde" by Kocchi no Kento). It's a little amusing that, on the channel of a talent from hololive's English branch, the most-watched MV is a Japanese song.
More cover MVs of Japanese songs followed. On March 27, 2025, came "Kyu-kurarin" (きゅうくらりん), and on May 18, "Naimononedari" (ないものねだり), a duet with Cecilia Immergreen (about 1.75 million views as measured on the same day, September 26, 2026). On August 3, "Monitoring" (モニタリング) was released.
On the other hand, "Confessions of a Rotten Girl," from October 6, is a cover of a song by SAWTOWNE, according to its description. The description lists five names as the "ROTTEN GIRL CHOIR": Mori Calliope, Takanashi Kiara, IRyS, Hakos Baelz, and Ouro Kronii. So it isn't all Japanese songs: there is also a song with an English title, layered with the voices of her fellow hololive English talents.
Another Cover MV on Her 3D Showcase Day
In an official news post on June 16, 2025, COVER Corporation announced 3D Showcase streams for the four members of -Justice-. For Gigi, the news gave "JST: August 3rd, 9:00 AM" (that is, August 3, 2025) and "Hashtag: #Gigi3D." In other words, the date of her showcase had been announced about seven weeks ahead.
The actual stream began at 9:02 a.m. JST, under the title "【3D DEBUT】GIIII~MURIN! × 3D Gigi Murin desu." Its description credits Furukawa Shinji as "魔法使い(ウィザードおじいちゃん)" (the wizard, "Wizard Oji-chan"), and also lists the Suginami Children Chorus (杉並児童合唱団).
The showcase stream ended at 10:11 a.m. JST, and about two minutes later, at 10:14 a.m., the "Monitoring" cover MV mentioned above premiered. Just like "Hitomania" on her debut day, the MV was timed to the end of a big stream. She had probably prepared a song to mark the milestone.
Four days later, on August 7, a performance MV of "Lower One's Eyes" with Mori Calliope and Nerissa Ravencroft was released as well. We profile Calliope and Nerissa in separate articles.
The choreography for that MV was by Mariyan (まりやん), the same choreographer as for her 3D Showcase. The next day, August 8, a performance MV of "Niccori^^ Survey Team Theme" came out, credited to "Gigi Murin, Wizard Oji-chan." Since that is the same "Wizard Oji-chan" name as in the showcase credits, it seems to have been a project continuing from the day of her 3D Showcase.
Her Solo Original Songs: "I'll still be here" and "enough"
On the music list of her talent page on the official hololive website, the oldest-dated original song is "ABOVE BELOW," credited to -Justice-. Her debut stream's description also introduced it as "the first Justice Original Song," and the official website's music page gives its release date as June 24, 2024.
Her first solo original, credited to her alone, is "I'll still be here." The music page on the official hololive website credits it to "Gigi Murin" and gives its release date as October 20, 2025. The MV had premiered the day before, at 12:30 p.m. JST on October 19.
On November 16, 2025, a Short posted to her channel called the song "Gigi Murin’s first original" in its title. In other words, her own channel calls the song her "first original" too. The MV's credits read "lyrics - Lorien" and "music - Pretty Patterns, Lorien." Gigi's name is not in the lyrics or music credits; this is a song she delivered as its singer.
Her second solo original is "enough," released on June 24, 2026, according to the music page. This time the MV came two days later, premiering at 7:00 a.m. JST on June 26. The MV's description opens with "GIGI MURIN, @FLAVORFOLEY" and credits FLAVORFOLEY with composition, arrangement, and mixing. The people who made the two songs differ, but the art direction of both videos appears to be by Izzy Delore, the same artist as on "Hitomania" from her debut day.
For "I'll still be here," the MV came the day before the release date; for "enough," two days after it. Go by the MV dates alone, and it would be easy to get wrong when the songs actually came out. On this site, we give release dates as listed on the official music pages.
-Justice-'s Voices, Turned into Earbuds
Preseed Japan, which runs the audio brand AVIOT, announced the start of preorders for collaboration earbuds with hololive English in a press release (in Japanese) on June 30, 2026. There are two models, inspired by the four members of -Justice- and by Hakos Baelz, IRyS, and Ouro Kronii of hololive English -Promise-. According to the release, the earbuds carry a mode for each talent plus an all-member conversation mode, in "日本語/English" (Japanese/English), and the voices are all newly recorded (translated from the Japanese press release).
The product page for the -Justice- model, TE-V1R-HE4, lists Gigi Murin's name among its solo modes (the page is in Japanese). Getting to hear Gigi's voice in Japanese, too, may be a nice touch for her fans in Japan.
Are Gigi Murin's Real Name and Age Public?
Gigi's real name and age did not appear in any of the sources we checked: the official talent page, official news, her channel's video titles and descriptions, and the press releases. So all we can say is that, within what we checked, they have not been made public.
In articles about VTubers, the character's profile and the personal information of the person who performs the character need to be kept apart. We do not write by guesswork about anything she has not made public. What we present is the officially published data, such as her October 18 birthday and her height of 153 cm.
Summary
As we have seen, Gigi Murin is a hololive English -Justice- member whose official setting is a "mischievous gremlin." She released a cover MV of "Hitomania" on her debut day, and as of September 26, 2026, the most-viewed video on her channel was her cover MV of "Hai Yorokonde." On her 3D Showcase day she added "Monitoring" as well, and in October 2025 she released her first solo original song, "I'll still be here."
Since her debut day, Gigi has kept adding covers of Japanese songs. We're looking forward to hearing what she sings next.
