“Ah, the beautiful resonance of idol songs...”

That is Nerissa Ravencroft's catchphrase, as it appears on her talent page on the official hololive website. Nerissa Ravencroft is a member of hololive English -Advent-; in Japanese, her name is written ネリッサ・レイヴンクロフト. Her YouTube channel had 1.03 million subscribers as of September 26, 2026, by our own count.

In this article, we look mainly at her official profile, her setting as “The Demon of Sound,” the English cover from her debut day, her original songs, and her 3D concert.

Nerissa Ravencroft's Birthday and Height: The Official Data

Birthday: November 21
Debut Stream: July 31, 2023
Height: 175 cm
Unit: hololive -Advent-
Illustrator: ebplus

These are the entries in the “DATA” section of her talent page on the official hololive website (checked October 29, 2026).

According to the description of “Hello, My Jailbird,” the announcement video released before the debut, -Advent- debuted over two days, July 29 and 30, US Pacific time. Nerissa's slot was 8:00 p.m. Pacific time on July 30, which was around noon on July 31 in Japan. That is presumably why the official data gives her debut stream date as July 31: it counts in Japan time.

The same description also listed the debut times of Shiori Novella, Koseki Bijou, and both members of FUWAMOCO. These four acts, five members in all, make up -Advent-, and when we checked the official website on September 26, 2026, all five were still listed.

“The Demon of Sound,” Sealed Away by the Gods Who Feared Her Singing

Her official profile opens with this sentence: “With a deep love of song, Nerissa Ravencroft is ‘The Demon of Sound.’”

It continues: “Her powerful love turned into a dark power that inhabited her singing, giving her music the potential to drive the entire world mad. The gods, fearful of her beautiful voice, decided to seal her away for eternity, but this did not seal away her desire to sing for others.”

It goes on: “While she was sealed away, she came across Japanese otaku culture, and is currently fascinated by idol songs and penlights.”

So the “idol songs” in the catchphrase at the top come straight from this setting. Singing itself seems to sit at the very core of the character.

The pre-debut announcement video was titled “Hello, My Jailbird,” and its description added, “Let's be good friends from now on, 'kay?” The singing stream she held right after her debut to celebrate monetization was titled “We did it, Jailbirds!” as well. A jailbird is a prisoner, so perhaps the sealed-away demon is calling the people who come to watch her just that.

The English Cover She Released on Debut Day

The debut stream on her YouTube channel began at 12:01 p.m. JST on July 31, 2023. It was titled “【DEBUT】Nerissa Ravencroft, at your service~.”

At almost the same moment the debut stream ended, at 12:39 p.m. the same day, “【ENGLISH COVER】Love Me, Love Me, Love Me” went up on her channel.

The credits in the video description name Kikuo as the writer of the original song and read “English Translyrics: Nerissa Ravencroft.” The original translation is credited to chocoyouchuu, which means Nerissa herself was the one who shaped it into English lyrics that could be sung.

As of September 26, 2026, this video had about 16.36 million views, the most of any video on her channel. In the same count, second place went to her cover of “God-ish” (神っぽいな), with about 5.49 million views, and third to her English cover of “The Vampire,” with about 3.49 million. All of the top three are singing videos, and all three were released within three months of her debut.

On January 16, 2024, she also posted a roughly one-minute video titled “How I Write English Lyrics.” She seems to make a point, right in the title, of the fact that she writes her own English lyrics.

Original Songs: The Release Date and the MV Date Can Differ

For the five members of -Advent-, the MV for “Rebellion” went up on the hololive English channel on debut day, July 31, 2023. The description of her monetization stream called it the “First Original Song.”

Her first solo original song is “Say My Name.” According to the official website's music page, it went on sale on April 28, 2024, and the MV went up the day before, at 2:00 p.m. on April 27.

The credit reads “Lyrics and Vocals: Nerissa Ravencroft.” Kris Roche, who handled the arrangement and mixing, is also credited for lyrics.

On August 8 of the same year, she released In My Feelings, a four-track EP. The official website lists the four tracks as “Say My Name,” “Sweetest Scarlet,” “In My Feelings,” and “SHATTER.” The “Sweetest Scarlet” video went up on August 10 at 1:00 p.m., two days after the EP's release. The video for the title track, “In My Feelings,” followed about a month later, on September 9. Nerissa's name appears in the lyric credits of both.

“OYOME♡HOLIC” (お嫁♡HOLIC) was released on January 24, 2026, and its MV went up the same day. The lyrics are by Katahotori (かたほとり) and the composition and arrangement by ARM, and the description reads “Vocals and English lyrics: Nerissa Ravencroft” (translated from the Japanese credits). The lyrics are mostly in Japanese, but it seems Nerissa handles the English parts.

According to the official music page, “Blue World” was released on March 28, 2026. The MV followed about a month later, on April 27. Composition and arrangement are by Shoji Meguro, and the lyric credit reads “Lyrics : Nerissa Ravencroft.” On May 2, she also held a stream titled “Creating ‘Blue World.’”

Going by MV dates alone, it would be easy to mistake when a song actually came out. On this site, we give release dates as they appear on the official music pages.

The 3D Showcase and the 3D Concert “Requiem for Love”

In a press release (in Japanese) on July 12, 2024, COVER Corporation announced the 3D Showcase schedule for the five members of -Advent-. Nerissa's slot was listed as “Saturday, August 10, 2024, 12:00 –” (translated from the Japanese press release).

The stream actually started at 11:58 a.m. JST, under the title “Watch the way I move~.” In the three days before it, she also posted countdown shorts, starting with “3 days till my 3D Debut.”

The “Sweetest Scarlet” video mentioned earlier went up at 1:00 p.m., right after this 3D Showcase stream ended. Together with the EP's release, it looks as if she had songs lined up for her 3D day.

The following year, at 8:30 a.m. JST on May 25, 2025, “【3D CONCERT】#RequiemforLove3D - A JukeBox Musical” premiered.

The video runs about 56 minutes. Its description credits SUZY for choreography and lists Lance Bonney under “Script.” Put the “JukeBox Musical” in the title together with that script credit, and it was presumably a concert that strung songs together to tell a single story.

After the concert, clips of individual songs were posted to her channel from June 1 to 16. They included the English version of her debut-day “Love Me, Love Me, Love Me,” “Be My Guest” with Shiori Novella, and “CH4NGE” with Takanashi Kiara. “Missing Promise” with IRyS, “Bocca della Verità” with Mori Calliope, and “Meltdown” were clipped as well.

So the English cover she released on debut day was one she sang again, nearly two years later, on a 3D stage.

We profile Kiara, IRyS, and Calliope in separate articles.

A Game Song and Live2D's Theme Song

On July 18, 2025, Smilegate announced in a press release (in Japanese) the release of “OVER//RIDE,” an original song from its new RPG Chaos Zero Nightmare and hololive English. The two participants were Mori Calliope and Nerissa, and the release describes it as “an up-tempo song featuring rock and metal music” (translated from the Japanese press release).

The official music page also lists it under the name “Mori Calliope × Nerissa Ravencroft,” released on the same day, July 18. The MV went up on Calliope's channel.

On October 26, Nerissa streamed the game on her own channel too, under the title “I SANG FOR A VIDEO GAME!” The title carries “#sponsored”: it was a sponsored stream. The description also promoted an “OVER//RIDE” cover song contest.

The other is her work with the company behind Live2D, the technology that brings 2D illustrations to life. In a press release (in Japanese) dated January 20, 2026, Live2D announced that Nerissa had been chosen to sing the English version of “Shape the Future,” the theme song for the 20th anniversary of the company's founding.

According to the same release, the Japanese version is sung by Machita Chima of NIJISANJI. The release said the English version would come out on streaming services on January 22 (translated from the Japanese press release). The MV went up on Live2D's YouTube channel at 1:00 p.m. JST on January 23.

Here she is named explicitly as the singer of the “English version.” Perhaps singing in English from her very first day is what has led to work like this.

Has Her Real Name or Age Been Made Public?

Nerissa's real name and age did not appear in any of the sources this site checked: her official talent page, the titles and descriptions of the videos on her channel, and the three press releases. So the most we can say is that, as far as we could check, they have not been made public.

When writing about VTubers, the character's profile and the personal information of the person who performs her need to be kept separate. This site does not speculate about anything she has not made public. We present the data that has been officially released, such as her November 21 birthday and her height of 175 cm.

Summary

As we have seen, Nerissa Ravencroft is a member of hololive English -Advent- whose character setting is “The Demon of Sound,” sealed away by the gods who feared her singing.

On debut day, she released “Love Me, Love Me, Love Me” with English lyrics she wrote herself, and as of September 26, 2026, it was the most-viewed video on her channel. She is credited as a lyricist on her original songs too, her 3D concert was a jukebox musical, and for Live2D's theme song she was entrusted with the English version.

A demon who calls idol songs a “beautiful resonance”: we can't wait to hear what she sings for us next.
