That is Shiori Novella's catchphrase, as it appears on her talent page on the official hololive website. Shiori Novella belongs to -Advent-, a unit of hololive English; in Japanese, her name is written シオリ・ノヴェラ. As of September 26, 2026, her YouTube channel had 742,000 subscribers by our own count.
Both her debut stream and her 3D Showcase stream carry the words “A New Chapter Begins!” in their titles. In this article, we'll first look at her official profile, her debut date, and her 3D Showcase. After that, we'll walk through her first solo original song and her concert in Los Angeles, in order.

These details appear in the “DATA” section of her talent page on the official hololive website (checked October 29, 2026).
Her official profile describes her this way: “Driven by her thirst for knowledge, Shiori Novella is ‘The Archiver.’” It goes on: “She turns her favorite stories and treasured memories into bookmarks and saves them.” According to the profile, she was imprisoned after she was found to have obtained “forbidden knowledge” within one of her stories. It's a fun touch, too, that “shiori” (栞) is the Japanese word for a bookmark, the very thing she keeps her stories in, and it sounds just like her name.
Her YouTube channel's description opens with “Shiori~n!”, followed by the line “Aloof Archiver of hololive -Advent- at your service.”
-Advent-: Five Who Escaped from a Great Prison
On July 26, 2023, the official hololive website announced the launch of a new unit, hololive English -Advent-. According to the announcement, “Advent is a group of criminals that escaped from The Cell,” a great prison. The five members were Shiori Novella, Koseki Bijou, Nerissa Ravencroft, Fuwawa Abyssgard, and Mococo Abyssgard.
Shiori came first in the debut stream schedule, with a slot on July 30 from 12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. JST. On the US West Coast, that was 8:00 p.m. on July 29, so the July 30 date in her official data is the date in Japan. The stream itself did start right at 12:00 p.m. JST on July 30, 2023. Its title is “[DEBUT STREAM] - A New Chapter Begins!”
As of September 26, 2026, this debut stream had more than 1.14 million views. The video description also lists the start times and links for the other three debut streams.

Her 3D Showcase Was Also Titled “A New Chapter Begins!”
On July 12, 2024, COVER Corporation announced the 3D Showcase schedule for the five -Advent- members on PR TIMES (in Japanese). Shiori's slot started at noon on Saturday, August 3, 2024, making her the first of the five. The hashtag is #Shiorin3D.
On the day, the stream started at 11:58 a.m. JST under the title “A New Chapter Begins!” In other words, she reused the words from her debut stream a year earlier for the title of her 3D Showcase.
The special guests listed in the description were Nerissa, Koseki Bijou, and both members of FUWAMOCO. Alongside Pending, the script credits list the name “Shiori Novella,” so it seems she had a hand in the script herself. The choreography credit read “ミユキニシジマ.”
Singing “world.execute(me);” at Her First hololive English Concert
On September 6, 2024, COVER Corporation published a report on the second hololive English concert on PR TIMES (in Japanese). The concert was called hololive English 2nd Concert “-Breaking Dimensions-.”
The report says, “Shiori Novella of Advent covered ‘world.execute(me);’ by Mili” (translated from the Japanese press release). It continues, “The song's mystical feel is a perfect match for her cool singing voice.” About -Advent-, the report also says they had “only just unveiled their 3D models this August.” By the report's account, this was also the “first time” they had performed live in public.
Her First Solo Original Song: “Monsters and Men”
On February 16, 2026, an MV titled “Shiori Novella - Monsters and Men [ORIGINAL SONG]” was released on her channel. The credits in the description read “Performer: Shiori Novella,” with composition and arrangement by MELOIMAGE and lyrics by monii. The choreography credit reads “ニシジマ・ミユキ (Nishijima Miyuki),” which appears to be the same person as the “ミユキニシジマ” in the 3D Showcase's choreography credit, with the name in the opposite order.
As of September 26, 2026, the MV had more than 1.3 million views. That's one of the higher view counts on her channel.
The description of -Advent-'s third-anniversary stream says “My first original song 「Monsters and Men」.” The music section of her official page lists “Rebellion” alongside “Monsters and Men,” and the concert report we turn to next introduces “Rebellion” as an -Advent- song.
The 4th Concert “-Serendipity-” in Los Angeles
On July 3 and 4, 2026 (US Pacific Time), the hololive English 4th Concert “-Serendipity-” was held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. In Japan, that was around noon on July 4 and 5.
The official website's post-show report listed Shiori's name in the cast. On Day 1, she sang “When My Devil Rises” by MAN WITH A MISSION with Mori Calliope as the unit Last Writes. Also on Day 1, she performed “Break It Down” as a trio with Vestia Zeta of hololive Indonesia and Cecilia Immergreen of hololive English. Day 2 opened with a medley by -Advent- and Justice, in which “Rebellion” was sung as the -Advent- song.

Birthday Streams and “ENigmatic Recollection”
Every year from 2024 through 2026, she has held a birthday stream under the hashtag #partyvella (with the year added from 2025 on). In 2024 the stream was titled “3D BIRTHDAY EVENT,” and it began around midday JST on May 3. On the US West Coast, that was the evening of May 2, so the stream fell on her birthday itself. The 2026 stream was titled “IT'S MY 3RD BIRTHDAY!”
In September 2024, she ran a series of streams titled “ENigmatic Recollection.” According to the description, it is “a collection of stories in which the members of hololive English play a part,” told through “streams, animations, and songs.” Shiori's streams began on September 1 and ran through the “GRAND FINALE” on September 8.
Starting July 31, 2026, the four-part original motion comic “Into The Void” was released as well, concluding with Episode 4 on August 23. Its cast list includes Shiori along with Elizabeth Rose Bloodflame, Gigi Murin, and Nerissa. The description does, however, carry a disclaimer: “The content presented in this series is not canon and does not form part of the official lore.”
Fittingly for “The Archiver,” a collector of stories, many of her projects seem to take the shape of a story.
Wrapping Up
As we've seen, Shiori Novella is a member of hololive English -Advent- whose official character is “The Archiver,” who turns stories into bookmarks and keeps them. Both her debut stream and her 3D Showcase carried the words “A New Chapter Begins!” Her own name appears in the script credits of her 3D Showcase, and in 2026 she released her first solo original song, “Monsters and Men.”
At the 4th Concert in Los Angeles, she shared the stage with Calliope and others. We're looking forward to seeing what “chapter” she adds next.
