“Good morning, afternoon, evening! Hope you're having a WAHnderful day!”

That's the greeting that introduces Ninomae Ina'nis on her talent page on the hololive official website. In Japanese, her name is written 一伊那尓栖. She is a member of -Myth-, a group in hololive English, the hololive branch for English-speaking audiences. As of September 25, 2026, her YouTube channel had 1.67 million subscribers by our count.

In this profile, we walk through her official data and backstory, her debut stream, the MVs for original songs she illustrated herself, her role as AmiAmi's ambassador, and her solo concert in Los Angeles.

When Is Ninomae Ina'nis's Birthday, and How Tall Is She?

Birthday: May 20
Debut Stream: September 13, 2020
Height: 157 cm
Unit: hololive -Myth-
Illustrator: Kuroboshi Kouhaku
Fan Name: Tentacult

These details come from the “DATA” section of her talent page on the hololive official website (checked September 25, 2026, on the Japanese page, and October 29, 2026, on the English page linked here). The same section lists her stream tags as “#TAKOTIME” and “#タコタイム,” and her fan-art tags as “#inART” and “#いなート.” Each English tag comes neatly paired with a Japanese one.

In her debut stream's description, the fan name appears in lowercase as “tentacult,” with the Japanese spelling てんたかると right beside it.

The official data does not give a birth year, so this site does not calculate her age.

A Tentacle-Wielding “Priestess of the Ancient Ones”

The profile on her official talent page opens with this line: “Despite her looks, Ina'nis is actually a priestess of the Ancient Ones.” It continues: “One day, she picked up a strange book and then started to gain the power of controlling tentacles.”

As for the tentacles: “To her, tentacles are just a part in her ordinary life; it has never been a big deal for her. However, her girly mind does want to get them dressed up and stay pretty.” Wanting to dress up even her tentacles is a rather adorable touch.

The profile closes on this note: “…she began her VTuber activities to deliver random sanity checks on humanity, as an ordinary girl.” Her YouTube channel description carries the same English text from “One day…” onward, and it, too, ends with “as an ordinary girl.”

A priestess of the Ancient Ones who sees herself as just an ordinary girl: maybe that gap is exactly what makes the backstory fun.

Her Debut Stream: September 13, 2020

Her debut stream, “【DEBUT STREAM】Hi!🐙,” began at 4:01 a.m. JST on September 13, 2020 (the start time YouTube records). That matches the Debut Stream date in her official data.

The description opens with “Hi! I'm Ninomae Ina'nis! You can call me Ina!” followed by “I like food! 🐙” It's a short, friendly self-introduction.

We also have profiles of her fellow -Myth- members Mori Calliope and Takanashi Kiara.

Her First Original Song, “VIOLET”

“『VIOLET』 - Ninomae Ina'nis,” released August 5, 2021 (JST), is described in its video description as her “First Original Song.”

The music is by seibin, and the lyrics and video are by LUMINA. And next to Ninomae Ina'nis's name, the credit reads “Illustration & Vocals.” Taking on the illustration as well as the vocals may simply be the Ina way of doing things, since she loves to draw.

As of September 25, 2026, the video had about 8.3 million views, the most of any video on her channel. The singer drew the MV's illustrations, too. Knowing that, you might see it a little differently on your next watch.

The MV Art Is Hers, Too

That “Illustration” credit isn't limited to “VIOLET.” “MECONOPSIS,” released in May 2024, is labeled her “Second Original Song” in its description, and “TEMARI,” released in March 2025, her “Third Original Song.” Both sets of credits include the line “Illustration & Vocals: Ninomae Ina'nis.”

“TAKO∞TAKOVER,” released January 7, 2026 (JST), is her “4th Original Song.” Her name appears here, too, this time as “Vocals & Illustration.”

The lyrics are credited to fellow -Myth- member “Mori Calliope.” The music is by Aiobahn +81, and the video by LUMINA.

By contrast, “Abyssal Hymn,” whose MV was released on September 19, 2026 (JST), is introduced in its description as a song from her “1st EP re:VISION.” According to the hololive official website, the EP went on sale on February 2, 2026, and it also includes the four songs from “VIOLET” through “TAKO∞TAKOVER.” The “Abyssal Hymn” description, however, has no Illustration line.

Drawing also seems to be a familiar sight on her streams. In her December 2020 stream “Let's Learn Krita Together!!” she tried out Krita, which the description calls “a new art program,” and invited viewers along: “Let's learn together!” Many of her video descriptions also include the line “Endcard Art by Me!”

Becoming an AmiAmi Ambassador

On September 13, 2024, the company that runs the hobby shop AmiAmi (大網株式会社) announced in a press release on PR TIMES (in Japanese) that Ninomae Ina'nis had been named AmiAmi's official ambassador. The release says the company “will liven things up over about a year,” and that there will be “a stream every month as ambassador” (translated from the Japanese press release).

The stream celebrating her appointment began at noon JST on September 28, 2024. It was titled “【AmiAmi】 Official WAHmbassador On Duty!!!”

A second release (in Japanese), dated February 27, 2025, announced an exhibition marking six months since her appointment. It said that from March 1 to 31, 2025, AmiAmi's Akihabara Radio Kaikan store (あみあみ秋葉原ラジオ会館店) would put up posters of her “famous (or infamous?) quotes” and show a life-size cutout and fan art.

It added that during the exhibition, everyone who bought merchandise at three AmiAmi stores and asked for one would receive a special illustration card “drawn by Ina'nis,” while supplies lasted (translated from the Japanese press release). So her own artwork made an appearance here, too.

When we checked her channel on September 25, 2026, we found 12 streams whose descriptions named her as ambassador. The last of them was “【AmiAmi】Final WAHmbassadorship Stream!!!!” on September 28, 2025 (JST). She titled it her “Final” ambassador stream. It came about a year after the announcement, which lines up with the “about a year” mentioned in the release.

However, AmiAmi's special page could not be loaded from our end, and we were unable to confirm any announcement that the ambassadorship had ended. There were also two streams in 2026 with “【AmiAmi】” in the title.

Her First Overseas Solo Concert, in Los Angeles

On November 24, 2025, COVER Corporation announced Takanashi Kiara / Ninomae Ina'nis 1st Concert “Drawn to Dawn” in a press release on PR TIMES (in Japanese). According to the release, it was a show in which the two would each hold a solo concert at the same event (translated from the Japanese press release). The venue was The Wiltern in Los Angeles.

According to the official event report on the hololive official website, the concert was held over two days, March 27–28, 2026 (Pacific Time; March 28–29 in Japan), marking their “first overseas concert to star in as solo performers.”

The report says her Day 1 solo stage began with “Meconopsis,” followed by “TEMARI,” and that she later performed “VIOLET” as well. For Day 2, the report says it “opened with Ninomae Ina’nis’s solo stage.” Her first song was “TAKO∞TAKOVER,” which, per the report, “made its live debut” there.

Also on Day 2, the report says, she sang covers of Japanese-language songs by hololive talents: Houshou Marine's “Dead Man's Chest” (幽霊船戦), Tokoyami Towa's “Palette,” and Hoshimachi Suisei's “Stellar Stellar.” (Our profiles of these three, linked here, are in Japanese.)

For Day 2, a stream with “Free Preview” in its title went live on her channel at 11:30 a.m. JST on March 29.

Singing her own original songs one after another at a big venue overseas: those two days were probably something special for her fans, too.

Wrapping Up

As we've seen, Ninomae Ina'nis is a VTuber who debuted on September 13, 2020, as a member of hololive English -Myth-. Her official backstory: a “priestess of the Ancient Ones” who gained the power to control tentacles after picking up “a strange book.” From her first original song, “VIOLET,” through her fourth, “TAKO∞TAKOVER,” the MV credits list her name under “Illustration” as well as vocals. She was named AmiAmi's ambassador in September 2024, and in March 2026 she took the stage in Los Angeles for her first overseas solo concert.

As of September 25, 2026, she had 1.67 million subscribers, and she had streamed on September 23 as well.

Ninomae Ina'nis brings her world to life through both song and art. We can't wait to see what she draws and sings next.
