“HiRyS, it’s IRyS! Your seiso nephilim here to fill the world with hopium!”

That is IRyS's greeting as it appears on the hololive official website. IRyS is a member of hololive English -Promise-. Japanese sources write her name in katakana as アイリス. As of September 25, 2026, her YouTube channel had 1.14 million subscribers by our count. On October 6, 2026, her first solo concert was held at SGC HALL ARIAKE in Tokyo.

In this article, we look at her official profile, her debut-day animated MV, her most-watched song, her first album DANGERyS, and what was announced for the solo concert.

When Is IRyS's Birthday, and How Tall Is She? Her Official Data

Birthday: March 7
Debut: July 11, 2021
Height: 162 cm
Unit: hololive -Promise-
Illustrator: redjuice
Fan Name: IRyStocrats

These details come from the “DATA” section of her talent page on the hololive official website (checked September 25, 2026, on the Japanese page, and October 29, 2026, on the English page linked here).

The official data gives no birth year, so we do not calculate or state her age.

Her fan name, “IRyStocrats,” has her name, IRyS, built right into it. Easy to remember.

A Nephilim Who Was Once the Embodiment of Hope in “The Paradise”

Her official profile introduces her as “A Nephilim who was once the embodiment of hope back in ‘The Paradise’.” The profile also says she “bears the precarious and unstable dual nature of a half-demon and half-angel; this phenomenon can be observed on rare occasions, in the form of the most unpredictably yaba—*ahem*, ‘surprising’, comments from IRyS herself.” It goes on: “Bewildering those around her…”

The description on her YouTube channel calls her “a half-demon, half-angel.” The same description also contains the line “Her full name is ███████ Irys.” The character's full name has been blacked out with solid blocks. It seems to be a secret even within the character's own setting.

Her Debut on July 11, 2021

Her debut stream, “【DEBUT STREAM】Hope has descended!” began at 10:00 a.m. JST on July 11, 2021.

At 11:09 a.m. the same day, the animated MV for “Caesura of Despair” was released as well. The credits in the video description list buzzG as composer and Coch as arranger, along with a long list of animation staff.

The next day, a video titled “||:Caesura of Despair - First EP Preview video” also went up. It seems her first EP was ready from the moment she debuted.

On October 10, 2021, the MV for her original song “HERE COMES HOPE” was released.

The music is by Tom-H@ck and the lyrics by hotaru. As of September 25, 2026, the video had about 3.34 million views, the second-most on her channel.

Her Most-Watched Video: “Carbonated Love”

As of September 25, 2026, the most-viewed video on her channel was the 3D MV for “Carbonated Love,” released on July 11, 2024.

It had about 6.51 million views, nearly twice as many as “HERE COMES HOPE” in second place. July 11 is the same date as her debut. The video description also promoted third-anniversary merch, so it looks like a song released to mark her third anniversary.

Composition and arrangement are by 賀佐泰洋 (SUPA LOVE), lyrics by monii, and the MV and choreography by Kanauru.

On March 16, 2025, a 3D MV for “DIAMOND GIRLFRIEND feat.MOTSU” followed. The lyrics and music are by the rapper MOTSU, and the vocals credit lists two names: IRyS and MOTSU. As of September 25, 2026, the video had about 3.18 million views.

Her 3D Birthday Lives

On August 20, 2023, she held her 3D showcase stream, “【3D SHOWCASE】HOPE IS ON THE MOVE!” Since then, she has streamed a 3D live for her birthday every year:

March 7, 2024: “HOPE TO THE FUTURE”
March 16, 2025: “HOPE UPON A STAR”
March 21, 2026: “RACING TOWARDS HOPE”

Every one of those titles includes the word “HOPE.” It seems she has held on to her setting as the embodiment of hope all along.

The description of the March 21, 2026, birthday live read: “Solo live confirmed for October 6 at SGC HALL ARIAKE, Japan! More details soon!” As far as her own channel's descriptions show, this stream appears to be where the solo concert was first announced.

Her First Album, DANGERyS

On the hololive official website's music page, her first album DANGERyS is listed as going on sale July 12, 2026. The concert's official website introduced the album as “the 1st full-length album.”

According to the site, the album features “contributions from artists in Japan and around the world” and includes the lead single “Escalate,” among other songs. It also seems to include tracks in what the site calls “her signature Eurobeat style.” The official music page lists 10 tracks, including “Escalate,” “BE MY FLAME,” and “MUSE.”

The day before, on July 11, the 3D MV for “MUSE” was released.

Composition and arrangement are by mifumei, and choreography by まりやん. The MV is by Kanauru, who also made the one for “Carbonated Love.”

According to the concert site, the CD Edition was ¥5,060 (tax included) and the LP Edition ¥15,400 (tax included). The site adds that the CD Edition includes “a rearranged version of ‘Gravity’ as an exclusive bonus track.”

Her First Solo Concert: October 6 at SGC HALL ARIAKE

On July 11, 2026, COVER Corporation announced in a press release on PR TIMES (in Japanese) that IRyS would hold a solo concert. The concert was titled IRyS 1st Concert “HOPE ||: Beyond the Stars”.

According to the announcement, it was set for Tuesday, October 6, 2026, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and the show starting at 6:30 p.m. JST. The venue was SGC HALL ARIAKE in Koto-ku, Tokyo. Streaming tickets also went on sale on SPWN and ZAIKO from the day of the announcement.

The concert's official website listed “Guests: MOTSU, Shiranui Flare.” MOTSU is the artist IRyS sang “DIAMOND GIRLFRIEND” with.

Shiranui Flare's name has come up again and again in IRyS's video descriptions, starting with a Splatoon 3 collab in December 2022. There are also streams with “#フレアイリス” in them, and for three years running, starting in 2024, Flare's name appeared in her birthday live descriptions as well. In the title of that Splatoon 3 collab, IRyS called her “senpai.”

On September 22, 2026, a live viewing in cinemas was also announced. The announcement listed Hong Kong, Macau, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Australia, Korea, Singapore, and Taiwan. That was the plan as announced: a solo concert by a member who works in English, held in Tokyo, with fans in Asia and Australia watching it in cinemas.

As of September 25, 2026, when this article was first written, the concert had not yet been held.

The concert took place on October 6, 2026. According to a news item on the concert site, an official report was published on the hololive official website on October 16 (checked October 29, 2026). The report says the guests, Shiranui Flare and MOTSU, appeared at the concert.

According to the report, IRyS sang “Stay Blue” (青く在れ), among other songs, with Shiranui Flare, and “DIAMOND GIRLFRIEND feat.MOTSU,” among others, with MOTSU. It also says the first song was “BE MY FLAME” and the last song of the encore was her debut song, “Caesura of Despair.”

Songs with Other Members, and the Dodgers Event

When we checked the talent page on the official website on September 25, 2026, the top entry in its MUSIC list was “Here Comes the CHADCast.” It went on sale September 1, 2026, credited to three names: Mori Calliope, IRyS, and Hakos Baelz.

Before that, on August 6, 2026, came “Windy Traveler,” which she sang as one of four with Tokino Sora, Ayunda Risu, and Otonose Kanade. The official site's featured-videos section included an MV titled “【MV】Windy Traveler【hololive Meet Ambassadors】.”

In a press release on PR TIMES (in Japanese) dated June 9, 2025, COVER Corporation announced “hololive night,” a collaboration with the Los Angeles Dodgers. The plans listed in the release included a game-opening announcement and cheer videos by Ninomae Ina'nis, IRyS, and Koseki Bijou, and a performance of “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” in the bottom of the seventh inning (translated from the Japanese press release).

We have not, however, checked what happened on the day itself; we present it here only as what was announced.

Are IRyS's Real Name and Age Public?

IRyS's real name and age did not appear in any of the sources we checked: the official talent page, her channel and video descriptions, the PR TIMES press releases, and the concert's official website. So the most we can say is that, as far as we checked, they have not been made public.

When writing about VTubers, a character's profile and the personal information of the person who performs that character need to be kept separate. We do not write guesses about things she has not made public herself. What we do cover is the data published officially, such as her March 7 birthday and her height of 162 cm.

Wrapping Up

As we have seen, IRyS is a member of hololive English -Promise-, a Nephilim whose setting casts her as the embodiment of hope. She released an animated MV on her debut day, and as of September 25, 2026, her most-watched video was “Carbonated Love,” released on her third anniversary. Her first album, DANGERyS, came out in July 2026, and on October 6 her first solo concert was held at SGC HALL ARIAKE.

The word “HOPE,” which has run through the titles of her live shows, made it into the title of her first solo concert as well. And she closed that first solo concert with the very song whose MV she released on her debut day.
